Urchins, scamps, rascals are often used as a symbol of the marginalized. The collage element in my drawings on wood, which is comprised of bits and pieces of 1970s news based magazines, suggests that we all eventually become lost and forgotten in varying degrees. The placement of the sculptures on books magnifies the narrative aspect of this sympathetic subject - a character common to novels and poetry - while the recycled objects used to construction them brings to the fore, the importance of making the most of preexisting resources.
